8 in 1

So we went shopping the other day with all the money we made from BAND aid - which was 1200 bucks. we bought so much stuff- clothes, toys, gift cards, etc...So last night while the family was at the church eating dinner we took a few students and went to the hotel where this family is staying. There are 8 people in this family living in one room that is about 200 sq ft - that is the size of a small bedroom. There was one full size bed in there and i assume that those who can't fit on the bed sleep on the floor. It was not a pretty sight but it was eye opening for some of our students and me. So we loaded their room with all the stuff we bought, but had to becareful not take up floor space. I am so thankfull that i have a home for my wife and unborn child, but realize that God is in control and he will always take care of us no matter where we are living. Please pray for this family as they struggle with 8 people in one small room

BAND aid '05 update

we have been running full speed trying to make this thing happen. It is happening this friday night. We have been hearing a buzz in the community which is a good thing. We have the coffee shop stocked and the sound equipment ready and all the lights ready. We'll take some pix of the night and I'll post them up here. it should be freakin awesome. we found a family to give it to via christmas presents and food and fun stuff. anyways, gotta jet and keep getting ready so when friday gets here we are ready for it.
